Quick Query about Main partition.

I'm just trying to Partition my main drives which are in Raid 0.
But i aren't able to able to partition then less than half, or equal to one of my disks.

For example im using 2x Samsung F3's 500gb. I cant seem to shrink them less than 464gb, am i right in saying this should have been done on inititial install of win 7?

Right well i've bit the bullet and just reinstalled it all again.

I've currently got several partitions with temps and page files etc, am i able to hide these from my computers list? As im not really going to be going in these a lot.
