Quick question 1950 pro agp - Temperature

Hi guys, just got a quick question for ya

whats the reference/recommended max temp for a 1950 pro AGP ? and if your running one what temps are you getting at the moment with what cooling?

the reason I ask is that over the last week I have noticed my card is running much hotter than it has been in the past, previously it would run around 40-45idle and 54-58 under load, now its more like 50-52 idle and anything in the regions of 70-80c when under load for a while

edit: have also reseated the heatsink/re-applied some Tuniq TX-2 to the gpu core since i noticed the temps but hasnt helped that much so far

Don't have one of those cards, but those temps are fine, nothing to worry about.

fine? ;o really would you consider it safe? was hoping more people would reply with their own experience guess they might tomorow

im just puzzled as to why its suddenly jumped up and considering i've done a reseat/cleared dust that it hasnt improved much

If by reseat you mean new thermal paste, then it can take a few days for some paste to cure.

Just seen your edit. Give it a few days and im sure the temps will come down some.

aye i had thought it *** take some time for that but still the temps are far higher than what i used to get

wow, just got in from work today and left a game on for 20mins or so to see the temp (would be between 70-80c im sure if it was yesterday) and today the max was 54, il try playing some cod4 for longer or something 2nite but looking good

Ive had many cards that have been in the 80's underload and never had any problems, my old 8800 GT used to go into the 90's and was perfectly fine.

ah ok, ye i know some cards run hotter than others etc, but i'd just never personally seen one of my cards run at 70-80, especially when this one I am refering to in the thread used to/usually runs at 50-55 load
