quick question about a minor accident

The best thing to do here is to stop your car in the road, as left as possible.

This, let them do the passing.

The oncoming car was pretty much in the middle of the road and you can only just get 2 cars past each other on this section of road. The road is unlit and is pitch black at night with no surrounding lights, we both had full beam on but I changed to dipped before him meaning chances are he never even saw me coming as he came over the brow of the hill.

Just where the double yellow lines end the kerb comes into the road and thats what I had to swerve into. Had I met him a bit earlier I would never of had to swerve :(

What was he even doing in the middle of the road... there's clearly 2 lanes and it looks more than wide enough for 2 cars to pass... The mind boggles!

Was expecting something more like this: http://goo.gl/maps/6IIG6 which has caused many a puckered anus.

If the road is clear on some country lanes I'll drive over the middle, to avoid the pothole paradise at the edge. If I saw a car coming I'd gtfo of the way though..

Thats pretty much what he did MooMoo444, I assume he never saw my lights and decided to go down the middle a bit faster than he should have.

Just got back from the garage and they say they can't see any damage but that the new tyre I had fitted was a 205/55/r16 not a 215/55/r16. He wouldn't do the tracking till I get matching tyres on the front.

Am I ok to get another 205 or best to get 2 215's?

Also this wouldn't cause the steering wheel to be slighty off center would it?

There's plenty of room on the road for 2 cars where I was, just the idiot heading towards me fancied using all of it.

Down about £180 for tyres and recovery so it's nowhere near as bad as I expected. Was due some new tyres anyway haha!
