Hey all,

I have a X1950 Pro graphics card, and was wondering that when a cooler is labeled "- Supports all of the latest graphics cards including ATI X1900 and nVidia 7900 Series graphics cards." Does that included the 1950? I reckon it does but want to make 100% sure before I start forcing the wrong cooler on it.

Thanks

i believe it does since even the stock cooler of a x1950 pro apparently fits onto a x1900xt amd even fits x1950xtx.

if your after a cheapo cooler, see if you can grab a stock x1900xt cooler, i know someone who sold their stock cooler for under 5 quid.

now your going to say that why would you want stock cooler of x1900xt card but the thing is its a good cooler, it does stop the x1900xtx cards from overheating although it does make a racket when its at full speed but that again is case dependant.

thing is, on a x1950pro the stock x1900xtx cooler is never going to need to run at 100% to cool down the card, all it needs to do is run at around 50% fan speed to keep a x1950pro at under 55c when stressed out at max.

now thats not bad at all for under 5 quids worth of cooling. bad thing is the stock x1900xtx cooler has a lot of weight to it, then again it will make your card feel like its worth more cash.

either way, don;t forget to provide cooling to the mosfets of the x1950pro cards, the mosfets do het up a lot and some manufacturers are now putting heatsinks on them from factory.
