Quick question about buying a game on Steam

Hi,

I want to buy a game off steam but for buying stuff off the internet I use my laptop as it has no crap on and i know its as safe as possible. So when I buy the game off of steam will it start downloading to my laptop? Can I stop it login on my main machine and download and install on my main machine?

Yeah if you have your login on Steam you'll be fine. Why don't you just run AV and anti-spyware on your main PC first and then keep it clean so that you can purchase from that in future? It doesn't take that much effort to keep up with...

There is an option on steam once you have purchased to not download straight away (or the opposite, tick here to download). All you then have to do is login to your steam account on your desktop etc and then chose the game from the list.

Doesn't matter. If you buy it on an account you can download the game to any pc that you log on to with that account. In other words, yes to your question OP...

Thanks guys, and I do have anti virus etc on my main machine but i faf around with that and have had spyware etc get on it so I am just a lot happier having my laptop for internet buying which I know has no spyware on it etc.

why don't you just stop the 'crap' on your main pc..

what you want to do will work though
