Hi,
I've never taken much notice of case cooling or airflow or anything before I started reading this site - thanks guys
. My current (old) setup is in a cheap case which only has a side window fan, but I've noticed it does have the grill patterns on the back presumably for a fan. If I wanted to add a fan to the back, how do I know what size to get? Is there a standard measurement for the screw holes I can check?
Also a few weeks ago I added a blower to the slot under my agp card to get rid of some of the hot air and it really made a diifference to the overall temp - will adding this additional case fan close to the CPU make any more difference? I presume its worth it for the few quid it will cost... System is an Athlon 2800+ on an A7N8X board. I don't want to spend too much as I'll be selling the system at the end of the year and starting from scratch, but I'll be selling to a friend who doesn't know too much about PCs, so I'd like to hand over a system that will be in decent shape for its age
cheers
