Quick Question About Electricity

Hi Guys,

Can someone tell me if 3500Kwh energy usage sounds like a lot over 70days in a 2 bed flat with no gas (emergen water heater + storage heaters).

Just had a bill for £387.00 and almost had a heart attack!

I live in a 2 bed house (on my own mind), storage heaters and immersion heater just like you, according to my electricity monitor I used 440KWh this month, 475KWh the previous month, so that would be around 1100KWh for 70 days. I've been keeping it quite cool though, I could imagine it's possible to use 3500KWh with the recent weather. How hot do you have the house?
 
Immersion and storage heaters will use a lot - but it depends how long you've had them on for. Is the immersion on 24hrs a day? On a timer?

3500kWh / 70 days is an average load of around 2kW. Not unfeasible when you have heating involved, but still a bit on the high side. I see bills of around the £300/quarter mark in a 2 bed all electic flat. Can't remember what units/useage that translates to!
