Quick question about JB'ing a 4.2.1 iPod

I'm totally new to JB'ing but I want to give it a go.

I've now backed up everything on my iPod Touch 2g and have upgraded it also to 4.2.1, but it seems that there is more than one way of jailbreaking...

So far I've found these programs:
redsn0w 0.9.6rc9
Greenpois0n RC6.1
Sn0wbreeze 2.2.1
Whited00r

which can JB my device... Which one if the best to use and why? It seems Greenpois0n RC6.1 is the most popular...

Both, but I mainly use Windows really...

That said, my iPod seems to be stuck in DFU mode now after trying to upgrade from iOs 4.1 to 4.2.1

As soon as I've upgraded it I'll give Greenpois0n RC6.1 a go I think.

To get out of DFU hold the home and power button down for about 10 secs

Thanks, I managed to get something on the screen again after seeing this.

Turns out Windows didn't have the driver for my iPod when in DFU mode, so not even iTunes could recognise it!

I gave up with Windows in the end, plugged it into an old Macbook and upgraded and JailBroken it within a few minutes...

So far I'm still getting used to the various things in Cydia, but my Terminal app seems broken, it goes back to the home screen as soon as I try and type something on the keyboard!
