Hi there i was just wondering about the safely of mixing memory brands....i mean, i got in my pc at the moment 2GB (2x1GB) OCZ Platinum Revision 2 800MHz DDR2. If i were to put in the other 2 slots 1x1GB Kingston and 1x1GB Elixir would it work fine? They are all 1.8v and all CL5. All PC2-6400 800MHz. What do you guys think? Im worried incase i put them in before asking and something goes pop lol. Cheers.

So long as the memory has the same timings and is the same type (eg as you say both DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz) the brand doesn't matter.

That is, unless you use a rubbish cheap brand that has very unreliable memory - but your not, so it's all good :)
(hmm, admitedly I'm not familiar with Elixir memory but you can try it.)

always everyone say that memory shoudnt be mixed i loads time used completly different memory and it was working fine i think its only marketing stuff that they should be the same..
