Quick question about Msconfig. (Vista)

Where it says number of cpu's it's set to 1 any reason why i can't set it to 2? Also Ive heard that this option can slighlty increase overall system performance?

Be great if someone could explain before i go clicking crap i don't understand.

EDIT : Sorry guys it's a E8400 @ 4Ghz.

check the "Number of Processors" box and you chould be able to set it.

Click ok, then check "make boot settings permanent" and click apply.
