Quick question about my new overclock..

Hi,

I've just got a core duo E4300 with Asus P5N-E sli and 2gb of Geil PC6400..

my overclock at the moment is 9x 333.3mhz = 3ghz stable.
but the memory is synched and so runs at 333mhz.

My question is, should I try and get the memory to run at higher frequencies by running it unlinked as it is PC6400 or will I see no benefit from this?

I don't have any experience with C2D, but with every other system I've used having memory running out of sync gives worse performance.

Try some benchmarks and see!

well I've just run 3dmark and found that 333mhz was better that 400mhz on the memory so I'll stick with that.

Strange tho because I would have thought that higher memory frequency would have been better from the info on these boards...
