Quick question about Prime95

Would anyone know what might be wrong? My system seems to be failing a Prime95 blend test on FFTs around the 896k mark. I've ran small FFT tests which run no problem for 12+ hours. I've also ran tests where the value is set between 2000 and 4096 which I believe is more RAM based. Again, this test runs for 12+ hours. I'm just not sure what ~896k points to (RAM or CPU).

Can someone shed a bit of light, please? TIA.

896 is more than your level 2 cache, so its pointing to it being ram. an unstable cpu can cause it tho, but it would have to be quite unstable for it to fail there.

Many thanks for your reply. So how come something like memtest wouldn't pick anything up?

because your not far over the limit. memtest may pick it up, but it may take a while to find the error. or it may be the cpu, so make sure it passes upto ~640ftt size, but i assumed that you tested the cpu for 8-24hrs.
