I cant remember if I saw someone say this on the forums or I imagined it but if lets say I was to order a pc from the OCUK configurator are all the parts physically installed inside the case or are some parts left out of the case to prevent potential damage when in transit?

I would imagine that it will be installed and surely will have some kind of support (e.g. styrofoam) inside the CPU that'd prevent any damage from transit and be safely delivered to you.

It won't be installed if its a large CPU cooler. It's too risky, considering the muppets who work for delivery firms. :p

to be more specific if i was to say an h70 watercooler and 2 video cards in sli. would those 2 cards be more likely to be inside or out of the case?

Hi There,

To clarify for you, the coolers that we enable to be selected on the configurator have been tested to ensure that they don't (or very rarely) get damaged.

The graphics cards are different. Depending on the size of the graphics card depends on whether we remove it or not. Generally speaking anything that is GTX 460 sized or above would be tested and then removed prior to shipping to ensure that the end user doesn't received any damaged goods. We do provide a comprehensive set of instructions of how to re-install the graphics card when you receive the system.

Hope that this helps

dont worry about putting a graphics card in though, its literally push it in the only hole it will fit in, screw it in place with 1 screw and then plug the power in.

with two cards you would have to put a crossfire/SLI bridge in there too, but again thats literally 'plug in, it works'

I have another thought about the configurator: say for instance I dont fancy either the choices available for the harddrive and instead of the Seagate Barracuda 1TB or the Western Digital Blue 1TB I fancied having a Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB instead would that be possible to arrange? How flexible is one able to deviate from the pre determined choices?
