Hi, this is my first proper foray at overclocking. I read around the forums and followed all the guides to try and get an idea in my mind about how it all works and I'm pretty sure I've got it sorted. The only thing that is bothering me however is this...
...I'm running a G0 Q6600 on an ASUS P5E mobo, with a Zalman CNPS9700 in an Antec P182 with four 120mm case fans. I've OC'ed to 3.2. But my temps are right on the fringe of the maximum (69 - 70 on load). Whilst the technical specs say that it can go to 71 and I'm hardly ever likely to max out all four cores causing it to reach those temps, I've seen other's claim they have OC'ed their Q6600's to 3.2 and higher with much lower temps. All I'm really asking is for more experienced overclockers to take a look and tell me if what I have done is okay, and should I change anything to reduce those temps, or even if I need to. Just after a little bit of confirmation that it's okay really.
these pictures illustrate my max and idle temps and the settings im currently using.
thanks.
