Will the Zalman CNPS6000-Cu fit on a socket AM2 mobo?

I ordered new PC parts, not realising the CPU might not come with a HSF, and guess what, it didnt.

My old pc has the zalman flower cooler, and the clip looks like it would hold it on.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks!!

No, it hasn't fit any current CPUs for a few generations now.

The Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro is cheap and is an excellent cooler that would work for you.

According to Zalman's website it only fits Intel socket 370 and AMD socket 462.

edit: as above Freezer 64 Pro is a good value HSF, used one on my A64 until recently.
