Hi all need a bit of advice. Im going to cut a blow hole but unsure on the best way to mount the fan. Ive read you can use a very strong epoxy to glue some M4 bolts to the inside of the panel and mount the fan that way to make it look sleaker/nicer. How is this compared to using screws through the panel?

Thanks all.

I'm sure that could work but then the fan wouldn't be flush with the top/side of the case as the heads of the bolts will get in the way.

If you have a black case you can get black bolts which should blend in quite nicely.

Having it flush to the case shouldnt be an issue. The bolt ill be using have heads more like those on screws rather than classical big chunky bolt head. Also going to have some PVC beading about the hole to make it look neater so that pressing onto the black mesh im using (to hide the fan) should form a good seal.

What im mainly worried about is stability of the fan when operating. Would a good strong epoxy holding the bold provide stability on par with screws through the panel? Vibration shouldnt be an issue as im using plenty of those vibration dampeners in this.

Also an M4 screw/bolt is the right size for going through a fan hole?
