Is the above normal, I would've thought a dualcore would spawn two since my quadcore spawns four? Just a bit confused :p

Does about 820PPD sound about right for a 2.6Ghz AMD 5200X2 using said SMP client?

Many Thanks :)

Four threads is normal, it's hardcoded to spawn four.

820ppd is pants :( What project number is it? Sounds like you hit a bad WU.

Ah ok, the project number is P2665. Is that rubbish since my quad has that on both instances of FAH?

Does sound like you might have got a bit of a naff WU there but it's not too far off the right sort of points. I get about 1200-1500 with a Q6600 at stock normally ...

Can you pause the windows SMP clients, and if not is there a better way to shut them down than 'Control + C' since I usually get the improper core shutdown message and the it deletes the WU and starts a again? :/

Don't bother running two WinSMP clients on one PC as they just don't play nicely together and shutting down one does usually kill the other. A combined score of around 1750 is about right for P2665 - it's a really crap WU but virtually all WinSMP gets at the moment.

It was an Althon X2 that was on 820PPD my quad was running each WinSMP at 1700PPD.

Looks like today will be spent setting up virtual machines......YAY :(
