I've spoken to Microsoft today in regards to replacing my dead 360. I've received the email from Microsoft and the shipping label from UPS. The guy on the phone told me to disconnect all components and place it in a separate box, not the original one. That's been done, but I am also sure he said to write down the code he gave me over the phone on the shipping label. But I see nowhere to write it. So for anyone who has returned their 360, where on the label do you write it, or am I just imagining things and you don't have to write down the reference number on the label at all?

They told me just to write it on a piece of paper and put it in the box, nothing about writing it on the shipping label.
It's not a big deal though, I managed to send mine off and completely forget to include the ref number. When I phoned MS worried that my 360 might go missing, they said it didn't matter since they trace them through the serial number on the back of the 360, so as long as they have your correct details in their system you'll be fine. Plus of course the shipping label has your name and address on it.
