Quick question for multi-monitor experts

I bought a new BenQ 1440p monitor recently with the intention of using my old Dell 22" as extra desktop space and such. I was wondering if there was any software that allows you to have a game (GTA5 for instance) on my main monitor whilst allowing to me switch to my second monitor without having to alt-tab? Kinda like the way VirtualBox works with capturing the mouse.

You ideally want to run everything in full screen windowed mode or border less windowed mode.

For GTA V I believe you need the parameters -windowed -borderless to the shortcut.

Borderless window does have some limitation though, since you're basically running windowed mode.

I've found in some games Shadowplay doesn't work properly in borderless mode, and you get a slightly worse framerate.
