Quick question for Prodigy owners

My Spectre pro 230mm fits flush against the HDD cage - I believe it's a 25mm fan.

I will check and get back to you.

There is a small lip on the HDD cage on the one side of the cage- would you like me to snap a pic for you?

Edit :- 30mm

My Spectre 230mm fan (they are 30mm thick btw) is definitely up flush to the hdd cage.

As said by supermellow, there is a pointless lip on the cage which when dremelled off would give you an extra 5-6mm, but that's it.

You can see the lip clearly on the motherboard side - the same lip is present on the other side which the fan touches.

Thank you both for the replies. I guess my daydream of having an AP181 in my upcoming Prodigy build is dead in the water... removing the bottom HDD rack isn't an option for me unfortunately.

The best bit is that the speed selector switch was long enough to route through the case with the orientation I had and fix it to the PCI "clamp"

how did you mount your 230mm spectre pro?
the screws i got with mine didnt fit, and the anti vibration mounts were too short
had to use cable ties in the end lol

I used he screws supplied with the case, the fan sits flush with the front of the case though so there's no reason for yours not to fit.

Have you fitted it in the same orientation as mine as I could not get it to line up properly if fitted with the flat edges on the top/bottom.

its in the correct orientation and the holes of the case lines up with the holes of the fan. but the screws dont fit the fan holes lol. the screws seems too big for the holes in the fan. i physically cant screw the screws in =x
