Quick question guys, about columns

At the moment I'm remaking my site using CSS, I got the first page looking like this http://www.mia-media.co.uk/miatestred , as you can see this page only has one column, which is what I want, on the media page for the site and others I need more than one column, so is the best way to do this to make a new style sheet, with added div tags, I've done that and got http://www.mia-media.co.uk/miatestred/media.html but in Firefox the page seems to move over slightly from the index where as in IE it doesn't

Is there an easier way of adding extra columns?

Well the page aligning differently was just me being stupid, didn't notice the reason for it was the scroll bar in firefox

Can anyone tell me if I'm adding an extra column to the page though using the right sort of code?
