Which is better, a HD3850 or a HD5670 ? (both 512mb)

I'm thinking of playing Aion again and my last PC had a 3850 in and it played pretty decent.

My new PC has a 5670 in and I'm worried about adding cash to my Aion account to play it only to find out it's unbearably slow and chuggy and naff.

I did some quick research and it 'seems' that my 5670 should be about 15-20% better than the 3850 was, but I just thought I'd check with the fine folk here at OCUK :)

Definitely faster by 45% by all accounts

The Radeon HD 3850 512MB makes use of a 55 nm design. ATi has set the core frequency at 668 MHz. The GDDR3 memory runs at a frequency of 828 MHz on this particular card. It features 320(64x5) SPUs along with 16 Texture Address Units and 16 Rasterization Operator Units.
Compare all of that to the Radeon HD 5670, which comes with GPU clock speed of 775 MHz, and 1024 MB of GDDR5 memory set to run at 1000 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also is comprised of 400(80x5) SPUs, 20 TAUs, and 8 Raster Operation Units.

Update: Yeah it ran great :)

Settings on about 80%. Temperature got to about 56 degrees on the card, but that's not too bad I guess considering I'm in Shanghai and it was 34 degrees here yesterday (probably the high 20's in my room)

Think I'm gonna whack everything up full tonight and see how it goes.
