The MSI Neo2-FR comes with HD audio, now the front panel audio connections on my Antec 900 don't suggest it's for HD audio, where as I have seen other cases which come with AC-97 and HD audio connectors for front panel audio, for different types of motherboards.

My question is that even though my Antec 900's front panel audio doesn't suggest that it's for HD shouldn't it work anyway? I just can't seem to get it to work even if I connect the pins seperately and use the raiser block provided with my motherboard.

It's not a massive problem as I don't often use headphones but would be nice if it worked.

Edit: Apparently 2nd revision 900's do have HD audio as well as watercooling tube out lets, but as mine was bought a week after it's release its only got AC-97.

Is it worth contacting Antec to see if they sell the new connector as an aftermarket accessory?

Haha, thanks, I should have updated this thread to say that I had done that. Antec are sending me the newer replacement part free of charge :D

In the connector setitngs in the realtek control panel (its a small folder icon above the picture of the jack plugs) tick the option called "disable front panel jack detection".
That should sort it out.

Did try it in case it did work but it didn't, think it is because the connectors for HD audio have pretty different pin connections. Thanks anyway :)
