Quick question, New 1st time build

Just a quick one, just put everything together, except for the CD drive, Mechanical HDD, also still waiting for windows 7...

Other than that everything is in and it turns on! However I thought i would see a Gigabyte splash screen, but instead it just get..

'Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key'

note i have an SSD hooked up

Is something wrong? or is this what i should see until everything is connected?

Without the os installed, it will do that.

You can hit the delete key as it powers up to enter the bios and have a fiddle.

Ah right good to hear! Yeah keyboard is also in the post... just got a bit antsy and wanted to build it. Cheers for the help

Also, these boards boot-up quickly, if your monitor wakes up slowly from standby then you may miss it.

As stated you need the OS for the HD to boot.
