Quick question on a graphics card

Hi guys,

There's probably a thread somewhere floating around for it in some form but I thought I'd make a new one.

If you had to choose between a 1070 FE and a Gigabyte 980TI G1 Gamers Version, what would you go for? I can get a deal on both (through a mate that works in the business) and the price is within 30GBP from each other with the 1070 more expensive.

It's both 'open box' cards that the buyers returned so still under full 3 year warrenties and all that. The G1 also seem to be retailing for much higher than the 1070 at full price.

What would you be going for?

Personally I'd go for the 1070. The 980Ti may achieve a few FPS more since it's a better overclocker, if you do plan on overclocking, but the 1070 is likely catch up with its own OC, plus it uses less power, run quieter and perform better the newer the game is that you play.

I also have a feeling 980Ti's will continue to decrease in price while the 1070 will at least retain its position for a fair while.

1070 it has more memory, you will get driver support for longer, and it will hold it's re-sale value better.
