Quick question on another upgrade

Hi there,

Current spec is:

Q6600 @3.5GHz
4GB OCZ RAM
Asus P5K Mobo
X850XT PE (Waiting on 4870X2)
Corsair HX620 PSU

Not looking to replace any of the above any time soon so don't worry about any of that.

Just got a new case (Antec 1200), new monitor (OCUK Value 24") and new 640GB WD HDD. Not looking to replace any of that as I now have a nice case with great temps, lovely new monitor to be starring at and a fast OS drive so everything flies

Basically I'm now looking to upgrade a few of the last bits I haven't upgraded in a few years... K/B, mouse, DATA Storage and backups (currently have nothing backed up...)

My current setup of those bits are:

Logitech Wireless K/B & Mouse combo (OK for normal stuff but bad for games (Had an old G15 but broke it))
3 x 250GB HDD's (All quite noisy and hot, would like to have the minimum amount of drives)
No backups or portable HDD of any kind...

My plan was to buy MOST of the following:

Not sure about the G15 and VERY open to suggestions on other K/B's

Basically I'm after ANY suggestions/alterations to the above list... if you good people don't mind of course

I hate normal ( non flat and normal size ) keyboards so I guess I cant help you there.

The mice is best you could choose. You'll love it.

Not sure how much storage you need, but if u're backup freak you could get 2x 750HDD for Raid1 setup for data instead of having external backup device.

Thanks for the advice on the mouse, I looked around and found this to be one of the best also so should be sticking with that.

Storage wise it will be the 1TB that won't be full yet as I have around 500-600GB but will allow me to keep adding, or let other people keep adding data.

Backup wise, the only reason I am getting the 640GB is so that eventually I will replace that a TB HDD (or 2) and I can use the 640GB out and about... Dunno if this is a good idea or if I should just save cash and maybe buy another 1TB now... but then I can't use it out and about... ahhhh my head

As for the K/B, what would you have? Looking for personal opinions as well. If you could explain why you would have what as I have no idea what K/B I want atm.

Looking at the 'Curve' or 'Wave' K/B's but don't know if I would get on with them...

K, Been thinking about it and now have everything basically sorted bar the K/B

Don't really want to spend more than £60 and it HAS to be a UK layout.

Got a G11 myself (same by no display) and like it though its a bit bigger than a normal keyboard due to extra keys at LHS. Using a saitek eclipse just now.

Thanks for replying Postman, If I had to choose between the G11 and the G15 then it would be the G15 due to it not having the extra G keys. I never really used them on my old G15...

Anyone else got any suggestions from the above... or others?

Backlit would be nice but not essential. Game when there are good games out but mainly use the K/B for "normal" stuff.

Any help would be appreciated as I'm looking to order tonight...
