Hi guys
I've got an MSI GX723 and I want to format it.
It's been going for the best part of three years or longer on it's initial install and it's got a bit slow now, more importantly it's on Vista 32 and though it has 4GB RAM it only reports 3GB as it's saving the rest for the graphics which in general practice is a real pain so I want to put Windows 7 64 on it.
However...it comes with loads of custom function buttons along the top of the keyboard, and has lots of shortcut buttons on the F keys (screen brightness higher and lower etc.).
The custom buttons along the top are media player buttons, eco/turbo modes, webcam, bluetooth and wifi on/off touch buttons.
There doesn't seem to be any special software running in the system tray controlling it except for one that I don't recognise from any other called "system control manager" by Micro-Star International Ltd.
So what would happen if I format and reinstall? Will I lose the functions?
It does come with recovery discs but that would put Vista 32 back on which obviously I want to avoid.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
If I format it and install Windows 7, will it recognise all t
