Just got Songbird and I really like the look of it so far.

When I was adding my media folder (My Music) it started to remove duplicates.

Just wondering if this program screws with my actual music order etc. (the physical files in My Music)?

Craig.

I've just this second install it also, and when I saw this.. I got a bit worried.

OT: Does anyone know a way of putting it to toolbar or tray? (I've tried the tray add-ons and they don't work)

Doing a quick test myself here, I'm gonna let it run the duplicate remover and check the size of My Music afterwards, if it changes Songbird's gone. I'm guessing it just removes duplicates from the playlist, I seriously don't think the Firefox/Mozilla guys would be stupid enough to put in a feature that screws with the physical files.

(Did a backup last night, so no worries :p)

Minimize to tray plugin doesn't work - I get that too.

I don't think it plays with the actual physical filesysystem, just it's database. I'm sure of that - not 100% though, would like to know what happens for you.

I let it run the duplicate remover, and I also manually removed a load of tracks from Songbird. It didn't touch my actual music files at all :)
