quick question on the Wii

i dont have a high def tv just a normal standard def. Does this matter much for the Wii cause i know obv the ps3 and 360 are made for high def..

No, SD TV for the Wii is fine. It can only do a max of 480p anyway.

Some games pull it off like Boom Blox or Super Mario Galaxy but at times when compared to 360/PS3 the Wii can look awful (Zelda in places for example). Wii is about gameplay > graphics.

You can get a Component cable for 480p.

Thats true, but most SD tv's dont do 480p.. if you compared a "good" SD tv to a HD one with wii they'll look the same but not with some rubbish'y BUSH tv from ASDA via composite.

It's well worth going for component/VGA with the wii. It looks far better on my PC monitor than any SDTV I've seen.

can i use vga on my laptop with it? on the back of my laptop is a DVI-D and a VGA. where can i get the lead from?

I'd have thought that those will be output rather than input though.
