Just moved over to an intel processor . it runs at 3200 MHz but the boost option knocks it up to 3600 MHz .

been years since I did this and used cpu-z ... its showing as cores at 800 with a multiplier of 8 and yes I kow this makes 3600 lol .

I'm just wondering if this is how its supposed to be with slowing the cores down ? Oddly ive turned off turbo mode and I cant get a stable 3200 showing.

Bit quick bit of advise would be appreciated .

the PC will lower down clock speed when its not needed.

to keep it at 3200 all the time you need to disable power saving settings in the bios. when the PC needs too it will ramp it up to turbo speeds and the stock speed then lower back down once the task is complete.
