Hi,

I'm new to all this Windows Vista business, having just got a laptop with it on (Home Premium 32)

I only have 1GB ram at the moment, so I realise that I need to upgrade at some point, so I'm looking for ways to streamline things a little.

Is it worth turning off the sidebar? Is it that much of a resource hog? I'll happily turn it off, but I quite like it :)

The sidebar itself is quite light but one of the common complaints about most third party gadgets is that they can go and start chewing CPU quite often.
