Quick question on Windows Sidebar

Hi,

I'm new to all this Windows Vista business, having just got a laptop with it on (Home Premium 32)

I only have 1GB ram at the moment, so I realise that I need to upgrade at some point, so I'm looking for ways to streamline things a little.

Is it worth turning off the sidebar? Is it that much of a resource hog? I'll happily turn it off, but I quite like it

The sidebar itself is quite light but one of the common complaints about most third party gadgets is that they can go and start chewing CPU quite often.
