Just a quick one, that I seem unable to find a definitive answer for. Which (if not all) phenoms (I and II, tri and quad) are Hyper-V (Microsoft virtualization technology) compatible?

I just assumed it was like the Core 2 Duo's (and Pentium Dual Cores) where not all processors have the relevant microarchitecture?

Last question I promise:

What is the quietest (air) cooler that will fit the AM2+ socket (I'm really out of touch with AMD)?

I'd agree wholeheartedly, if this were a production environment. I am at present rolling out ESX (infrastructure 3, not the free product) at work, but at home, I also want to be able to use the machine itself as the console, so Hyper-V it is.

VMWare Server 2 is bobbins when running on a Microsoft Server OS.

Plus, I also need to test out Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V Core.
