Are you sure? I plugged mine into the PC with the plug and play kit and windows asked for drivers.NokkonWud said:No, you can't. Unfortunately it only works with the wired cable, the charge & play kit doesn't allow you to.
Wireless ones you definately can't yet, as the Play + Charge kit does not send any sort of data down the cable, it's just there for charging, the controller still maintains its wireless connection.Chong Warrior said:Are you sure? Hmm, that's strange. Wonder what windows detected then? the play and charge kit I suppose?DaveyD said:Wireless ones you definately can't yet, as the Play + Charge kit does not send any sort of data down the cable, it's just there for charging, the controller still maintains its wireless connection.
Microsoft shoud be bringing out a Wireless dongle for the 360 wireless pads in the coming months I believe.
What did it say when it detected something? Just new hardware found? As i'd have though sticking any sort of USB thingy in will cause windows to say or think something.Chong Warrior said:Hmm, that's strange. Wonder what windows detected then? the play and charge kit I suppose?
Yep, pretty much.. if you could plug a fork into a USB port with windows XP it would say new hardware found.*DaveyD said:What did it say when it detected something? Just new hardware found? As i'd have though sticking any sort of USB thingy in will cause windows to say or think something.

Nismo said:Cant be done, the PnC kit sends no data through it, its purely for charging the battery pack.
Even when you are charging it on the 360, its still communicating wirelessly.

RoB- said:Are you sure it sends no data? Reason is because when you turn on the 360 by the main button on the console the wireless pad will not turn on unless you press the guide button right? When the play and charge kit is in, the pad will turn on with the console.![]()
