Quick Question - PWM Daisy Chain

Hi All,

I currently have 6 PWM Fans i need to connect to my Motherboard Header, the Motherboard takes PWM Control.

I was wondering is it possible to link this cable:

Akasa FLEXA FP5, Smart PWM cable for 5 PWM case fans

With this:

Akasa PWM fan splitter (AK-CBFA04-15)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-071-AK

This would effectively create 6 slots for fans but would they still spin and at PWM control?

That will work but those Akasa 5-way splitter are problematic. Too many leads terminating into each pin. They stress fatigue and break.
Gelid make better ones.

So if I was to pick up a Gelid Splitter, could I plug in Two of the akasa 2 way splitters to make 6? Or would this be to much stress on the cable?

*Edit* Or Even Two of the Gelid Y splitters?

I've got a couple of those Akasa 5 way PWM cables driving 15 fans (a few pairs are connected by Y splitters), they work but as above the build quality isn't brilliant.

Every so often the RPM signal drops out & AIsuite reports the CPU_FAN as 0rpm (although you can clearly see the fans are still spinning)

I'm hoping to get hold of one of the Swiftech 8 way PWM splitter PCB in the near future (if I can find a UK stockist)

Been looking for the swiftech a while now, shame its not in the uk.
I really hope it comes to the UK, such a good bit of kit. I think I will stick with daisy chaining a couple of the Gelid splitters and see what results I can get out of it.

I may be able to build a PWM distribution board similar to that swiftech but with unpolarised connectors, and could build in additional fan monitor outputs. I'm not sure what I would mount it in or on though.
