I want to install a Scythe Ninja 2 on this board, but using the bolt through kit means I will need to remove the northbridge heatsink on the rear of the mobo.

I know the mobo's manual actually tells you how to do this, but I am still slightly concerned at the idea. Has anyone here done this and had any problems, and if so were you running your CPU at stock speeds?

At this point I would be happy to leave the system at stock settings if it means I can get this damn heatsink on and quiet my system down a bit.

Thanks in advance.

I've done this on my p35 dq6, needed to remove the rear plate to install the bracket for a tuniq tower. When it was my desktop it was clocked at 3.65ghz, it's currently clocked at stock as my server. (q6600) Didn't have any problems at all before/during/after.
