Quick question re head units

Hi all,

Just a quick question, I've got a 60gb 2.5" usb hard drive. Am I right in thinking that in general a head unit with USB will work with it?

if the drive is powered via the usb then you may run into problems. Not every unit is capable of supplying enough power via the usb port

might stick with my ipod then, just would rather not have to put music on to it with itunes

The other thing to consider is that a lot of USB h/u will only read a certain number of files/folders, e.g. my Alpine only sees the first 100 folders, and the first 100 tracks within those.
