Quick Question regarding 360 HDD...

My mate just bought a 40" HDTV and an xbox elite so im heading round in a bit with a few games & my controller etc...

But i want to access my save games + profile - will i be alright just whipping the 20gb off my premium and sticking it on his brand new elite?

I want to show him my uber Dead Rising skills/costumes.

Oh yea, and he hasnt got it on the internet yet and my gamertag is an Live one, does that matter? :\
