Quick question regarding DVI to VGA.

I have a graphics card with DVI output and a Monitor with VGA connection.

I obviously need to get an adapter. Is there more than one type? I assume I should be looking for a DVI-I Male to VGA Female Adapter?

I just looked on an auction site and the one i thought i needed mentioned this:

An adapter which allows a DVI-I Monitor to work with a VGA signal

Do they work either way round?

yes there are adapters that allow a dvi monitor to connect to a vga output.

dvi male to vga female is what you need.

I always used a dongle on my graphics card, prefer that to a cable.
