Quick question regarding iTunes and transfering music to USB

Basically, as the title says.

My girlfriend got a new macbook and she has songs on iTunes that she wants to put on her USB.

Now, i've tried just dragging these from iTunes to the USB, but nothing happens?

Any help?

I've just realised she's trying to do it straight from her brothers ipod, so the songs arn't actually on the macbook.

You'll have to transfer them from the iPod to iTunes first - if they were purchased from iTunes you can just transfer purchases.

If they came from elsewhere there are apps that will do it, for Macs I like Music Rescue, and for PCs I've found SharePod is better. They'll both transfer all the music (or just some if you want) of the music to your iTunes library.
