Quick question regarding LAN cabling

Hi,

I have one LAN cable going from the router up through the floor and into the computer room to the PC, fantastic.

Now i have got an XBOX360 and want to also connect it to the network via LAN (if possible).

Is there any method in which i can get some sort of splitter so i can connect both the PC and XBOX at the same time, but only one cable is actually connecting to the router ?

I got a spare LAN cable with the XBOX. Also i dont think its possible to route a new cable through the floor again.

Also, just a quick check, theres NO way i can do the same thing without having to use a power source ?

Thanks again, a real help. I didnt want to buy a XBOX wireless adapter as wifi to me has always been a pain, plus cables are quicker.

So i can use this "Passive Hub" with both devices (PC and XBOX) running at the same time ?

If so then great.
