Quick question regarding Paypal automatic payment method for Ebay invoices?

I don't really use these very often but I got stung last time my Ebay invoice came in. My automatic payment was set to a bank account, which was a secondary bank account I only use when I travel and hence don't leave any money in. I've since changed that to be "Paypal" but I'm confused if that would mean it would take it off my linked credit card (like when I buy anything through Paypal) or can it only take what Paypal credit I've got in my account? (Because, I don't keep credit in my account).

tldr; With automatic payment method set to "Paypal" will it come off my linked card or only try for Paypal credit?

I've not done it myself. But I'd assume if you had money sat in the paypal account it would use that first before going to the linked card.

It'll come off the primary linked card (or bank account if you have one linked).

yes , if you've no money in paypal it will come off your linked account
mine comes out of my current account when there is no paypal money
