Quick question regarding porting numbers

I am changing from Virgin to Vodafone. When I receive the Vodafone sim card do I need to use that and have a temp phone number or can I use my virgin sim card and then after a few days my Vodafone one will take the number?

Once Vodafone has your PAC code they will give you a date when the number wil be ported, you can continue using your Virgin mobile number.

On the day of porting you will loose signal on your Virgin phone, give it a few hours then hopefully you should have your number ported accross.

Thanks for the information. I never received a date but I did put my PAC code in when ordering over the internet :confused:
