Over the years of using PCs I've got into the habit of rebooting after installing anything. I know its a good idea after a driver/system update but I do it for any old piece of software too. Is this totally unnecessary these days? I'm staring down the barrel of a fresh XP install and I'd like to know before I start reinstalling everything.
