Quick question regarding swapping of games

Will shops like GAME let you swap a PS2 version of a game for the PC version without asking to see a receipt providing you pay for any price difference?

Reason I ask is because Gameplay have sent me the PS2 version of Pro Evo 6 when I ordered the PC version, and I don't want to have to mess around with their returns procedure+wait another few days.

Also what is the preowned trade in value of the PS2 version likely to be? I see the game sells new for 29.99 and my copy is obviously in brand new condition, whilst the PC version is only going to be around 17.99 I think. (or will it be more expensive in the shops?)

May be better off just going to somewhere like eplay and trading it in as a pre-owned.

You can always try the old "My Nan sent it to me for my birthday but did no keep the recipt. She bought the PS2 version instead of the PC version. Can I swap and pay the difference (if any)"

Yeah I think that's the best bet.

Lol no of course not, I didn't pay for the PS2 version(29.99), I paid for the PC version(17.99) but received the PS2 version.

I guess I'm effectively 12 quid up, but the PS2 version is worthless to me because I don't have a PS2. So I want to be able to somehow get a PC version today without sending my copy back to Gameplay.

The main thing I need to know now is how much the preowned value of a basically brand new version of Pro Evo 6 on the PS2 is likely to be?

Thanks

Both GAME and Gamestation refused to take it due to lack of receipt.

Took it to HMV and not only did they replace it with the PC version, but they also paid me the difference (3 pounds) by giving me a gift card.
