Quick Question (SMP or 2 clients)

Got a Dual P3 box here im gonna start folding with, should I use the linux instructions and 'finstall', or install the linux SMP client?

unless P3s suddenly became 64 bit your stuck with two clients

Unfortunately the SMP client will only run on x64 machines

Otherwise the finstall client will work just fine

There's a 32-bit SMP client coming, but even then it's highly unlikely that a dual P3 will be fast enough to return SMP WUs within the extremely short deadlines - the longest is currently 2 days.

As everybody else has said, just use finstall exactly as directed in the sticky. It'll have you up and crunching using both procs in five minutes.

Yeah thanks, just noticed the SMP was x64, doh. Thanks for the help guys.
