Quick question tyres?

I'm right in saying that
a

175 65 R14
Can fit on a wheel that has a (it's just the sidewall length isn't it?)
185 65 R14
It would save me from buying a tyre just for a spare

How much should I be looking to get a tyre place to take the tyre of a diff wheel and stick it on another wheel?

the 175 tyre will be 10mm narrower. they have the same aspect ratio (65%) but the sidewall of the 175 will only be 65% of 175mm, but in all honesty, not the biggest difference in the world.

as for fitting, most places would do it (cannot see why there would be no objections..) and theyll prolly charge £15-£20 :S

as long as theyre the same size on each end of the car itll be MOT ok
