Hi Guys.

I have a program and I want to see how the performance changes depending on the power of the cpu. I dont have lots of different cpu's so I was thinking of just underclocking my cpu to 1GHz and then 2GHz and seeing the comparison with 3GHz. I know this isnt ideal but i'm not made of money lol.

My question is can I just reduce the speed in the BIOS and away I go, or do I have to change RAM speeds/multipliers/voltages etc as well? I dont want things to go bang you see...:p

Thanks for any help.

Was just going to change bus speed if possible. Its currently on 350x8. Was just going to lower the bus to 125 and 250 to give 1Ghz and 2GHz, leaving the multiplier at 8. Would this be ok?

I cant remember what the DRAM is set to but before changing it I will set it to Auto. Or would it just be easier to change the multipler to 3 and 6?

Thanks again.
