Quick question: Using mobile abroad.

Just spent 15mins on hold to O2 only for the girl to lose my call! daft cow.

Anyway, quickie:

Going on holiday next week and want to know if I'll be able to use my phone when I land at the airport just to let family know I've arrived safely.

Not bothered about the cost, I'm getting a PAYG SIM while I'm over there anyway, but not until about 18hrs after I land.

Will I be able to just jump onto the network down there and dial home?

If you have your phone set-up by O2 to allow roaming then yes. Otherwise call them and say you want it activated for global roaming and job done.
