Quick question

Hi ,

Im in the middle of a build but i have a question ..

On the back on my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Mobo .... i have a sticky pad with info regarding " stack cool 2 " ..it looks like it supposed to be on the mobo but im not sure ...is it ?

Ican't find anything in the manule that refers to it .

Anyone know if i leave it on ?

It's about 2 " x 4 " blue pad .

To stop static??

I am not sure if that would even work and I wouldn't say it is necessary to be honest.

Just earth yourself to the metal on a rad or a plugged in (switched off) PSU during build.

So the pad on the back of the mobo ... stay or go ?

It's just an advertisement. Take it off, it doesn't need to be there - it should come off easily.

Its made of quite thick rubber a bit over the top for just being an addvert kind of thing .

lol, you obviously don't want to take it off so don't worry about it mate. As long as it all works then that's fine. It doesn't get hot on the back of the motherboard anyway.

ROFL .... First build i don't want to fluff it

I never herd of it befor..or seen it .... its directly under my mem slots ... i have no clue :confused:

don't worry about it mate.

Build it all and fire it up. If it works then great.

If you were meant to take it off there would be something saying so. You don't have anything to worry about.

Just thought I'd bring this thread back, only because I remember thinking the same as maddad when I was building. I left it on.

Anyone else with Asus Stack Cool 2 experience know the right way?
