Quick question

Ok, that's what I thought. Not a boasty post or anything, I don't want to be seen as a tart, but the job I am going for offers a salary over 50% more than what I'm currently on.

Realistically would they care though? Just in case I'm thinking adding on the K's could off-set that somewhat.

It shouldn't do.

When I applied to rent a house the letting agency contacted my employer to confirm that my salary matches what I'd told them it was and my employer had to ask my permission before they could give out any information. So I doubt they'd tell anyone without you knowing about it.

Exactly and well that's another thing, what purpose does it actually serve?

Just to offer me less money, I guess.

I think I'll round it up slightly, but not massively.

do you have to tell them what you currently earn ?

what i mean is nowadays you dont even have to tell them your age because of silly discrimination acts but you have to tell them your old salary ?

It merely says on the employer history section:

"Current or most recent salary/benefits".

Sorry to keep posting without reply, but they're asking for -

- age
- faith
- sexual orientation

Errr... not really entirely sure what any of that has to do with anything.

Though hats off to the people who check the "transgendered man/woman". LOL. :D
